Odette Kouzou is a curator and art advisor, as well as the founder of Thermia Project, the residency art programme based on Kythnos. She currently works as a curatorial assistant and art advisor alongside Aphrodite Gonou, Contemporary Art Advisor at the Museum of Cycladic Art, and was selected for the Whitechapel Gallery × NEON Curatorial Exchange Programme as an emerging curator in 2020. Odette also curates the exhibitions at Myran Apenanti creating thoughtful visual dialogues between Scandinavian design and works by emerging Greek artists.
Wearing the Lesser Cyclades bracelet, she guides us along one of her favourite hiking trails on Kythnos, leading to the Thermia Project summer 2026 “Convivial Gestures”exhibition. Along the way, she reflects on her deeply personal motivation for bringing contemporary art to the island where her grandfather was born and raised.
"My favorite pieces of jewelry are two bracelets my grandmothers gave me. One is a silver bracelet with ram's heads at each end, and the other, from my other grandmother, is a very simple gold bracelet. I take great care not to lose either of them."
