Description

Peridot, the birthstone of August, has long been associated with strength, protection, and prosperity. Admired for its vibrant light green hue, it is often called the "evening emerald" for the way it retains its luminous colour even in low light. Ancient civilizations treasured peridot as a protective talisman, believing it could ward off negative energies and bring peace to its wearer. Hawaiian legend tells that the green crystals found in volcanic ash were the tears of Pele, the goddess of volcanoes and fire, while other traditions held that when set in gold, peridot could protect against nightmares and evil spirits. Today, peridot continues to symbolize renewal, abundance, confidence, and the uplifting energy of nature.

Stones: peridot & white sapphires
Shape: round, brilliant-cut
Metal: 18K yellow gold

How to measure

The hands-on method

  1. Grab a tape measure, a length of string, or a strip of paper.
  2. Wrap it around the finger you'll wear your ring on — if you're creating a ring stack, consider where on your finger the ring will sit — and mark the place where it joins.
  3. Lay the string or paper strip on a flat surface and measure the length up to the mark. Use the chart above to match the measurement to the closest °'HRIAM ring size.

Measure an existing ring

  1. Choose a ring that already fits your finger well.
  2. Measure the interior diameter of the ring in millimetres.
  3. Use the chart above to match it to the closest size.
